These rules are subject to change at any time. By commissioning me, you are thereby agreeing to all the terms listed on this site, including acknowledgment of the info on my process, payment, refunds, etc.

Because my artwork frequently contains adult themes, you must be 18+ to commission me, even if the artwork you want is not adult themed.

All my artwork is © to myself. I retain all rights to my work and am allowed to upload it to any of my galleries, as well as use it for my commission examples.

I have the right to refuse any commission for any reason. Please don't take it personally and understand that I have my own reasons for doing so.

The commissioner is responsible for the quality of references. I do not accept text references.

The commissioner is responsible for making sure the information is understandable and detailed. What has been agreed upon by both parties is what will be received. I do not make last minute or mid-work changes, unless I have personally made a mistake in my understanding of what you requested.

You are NOT allowed to remove my watermark or signature from my work, but you may add your own.

Commissioners are allowed to upload the finished product in their gallery and/or different sites, as long as I am given proper credit and a link back to me.

You are NOT allowed to profit off of my work or use it for commercial purposes (e.g. selling items / shirts with my artwork on it). You can do anything else with the art you have commissioned, such as posting it to your galleries (with credit), setting it as a background for your phone or computer, or even hanging it on your wall, but it is for your personal use only.

You are only allowed to use the artwork you have commissioned! You may not use any of my other artwork for personal use - this includes using it for icons, banners, etc.

You are, of course, allowed the personal use of the artwork that you have obtained in the purchase or trade of a character.

Editing my work is not allowed without permission. Do not, under any circumstances, edit the artwork to remove my watermark or to try to cover it. Other artists are not allowed to edit my work for you.

If you have any questions about your commission, PM me instead of making it public. I will not respond to public comments regarding commissions.

Selling, trading, or gifting of the design is allowed, but you are not allowed to sell it for more than you paid for it. Do not try to profit off my art. If the character has extra commissioned art, you are allowed to resell it for the price you originally paid + the amount of money you put into the character. Art received in trades are NOT allowed to inflate the price.

As stated, you may resell characters that you have purchased, but you are not allowed to sell characters that were received in trades or as a gift. Characters received in trades or gifts are only allowed to be re-traded or re-gifted!

You are allowed to change some details (colors, markings, species, gender, etc) as long as it does not become completely unrecognizable. If you want to change a lot about it, I'd appreciate you letting me know first!

I must be credited for the art and design if reuploaded. You do not need to credit me as the designer in every piece of art of the character you draw / receive by others.

If uploaded on a character directory website (such as Toyhou.se), the character must be credited to me as the creator. You may be listed as the designer if you had a lot of input in the creation.

I prefer to know where my designs are going to help me keep track of them (so there is no stealing or the like). If sold, traded, or gifted to someone that does not have a Toyhou.se, please do not just delete the character! You may even send it back to me to stash inside a private folder (it will not be reused by me in any way).

Breaking any of my rules will result in blocking and blacklisting! If it was an honest mistake, we can talk about it.

Please provide a detailed description of what you want for your commission.

I love having artistic freedom! If you simply have a "feel" in mind, I will do my best to go off of that with posing, lighting, expression, scene, etc!

I will send a higher resolution PNG sent through email or discord if desired. I will not send an unwatermarked version.

I do not appreciate being rushed to finish your commission. If I feel I am being pressured, I will either rush to finish your commission which will result in a drop of quality, or I will issue a refund. Rushing me consists of contacting me every single day or every other day, guilt-tripping me, or pestering me to "work on yours next" or something along those lines. Though I understand you're owed your commission, please keep in mind that real life and mental health can sometimes get in the way of working consistently and I want to give you the best quality possible. If your work is on my queue, I haven't forgotten about you.

I do digital art only.

If you would like me to stream your artwork, let me know when you commission me that you'd prefer to watch me work on it in stream. I do not always stream my artwork and typically just work on what I have planned next.

I currently do not have a stream schedule, but I will work on commissions in stream on my work days, Monday and Tuesday. Please do not pester me for your commission in stream on my days off when I am working on personal art.

I will not look through your characters to decide for you which one to draw. Contact me with your info ready.

My turnaround time is 2-4 weeks, depending on the length of my queue.

My queue is set up in the way that best keeps me organized. It is not in order of which I'll necessarily finish first. Also, I do reorganize the items from time to time.

Let me know ahead of time if you need your commission before a certain date. Depending on how soon the deadline is, I may charge extra.

If you want your commission as a surprise for someone or simply private, please include that info in your order. I often stream my artwork through picarto and I typically post the finished work to my galleries unless requested otherwise.

I do not usually send step-by-step WIPs to commissioners, but I do frequently update its trello card on my queue.

Approvals are typically done at the sketch stage, where I make sure I have understood your request properly. I only allow 2-3 edits, depending on complexity, after the sketch approval has been made.

If you request a sketch change, it will cost an additional fee, as I will have to redraw it from scratch. I retain the right to use the discarded sketch for my own purposes, though it will not resemble your character.

Any edits that include a mistake or misunderstanding on my part will be done for free.

I only accept PayPal. No e-checks. Once the details of your commission are received and agreed upon, please provide your PayPal address so that I can send your invoice.

All prices are in USD and all payments must be made in USD only.

Payment is required up front. Payment plans can be discussed for commissions worth more than $200.

If payment is not received within 3 days, I will likely drop your commission unless you let me know ahead of time when you can pay.

I will not start your commission until payment is received.

I reserve the right to refund your commission for any reason. You will, of course, be notified if I decide to do this, and the refund will be handled appropriately.

Refunds are on a case-by-case basis. I will not refund the whole amount if I have already started on your commission. I cannot take back the time and work I have already put into a commission.

Refunds are not available for commissions that are more than halfway complete.

If you request a refund, you are NOT at all required to provide me with reasons for your refund.

You are not allowed to talk to me about refunds EXCEPT through private message, email, or Discord DMs.
